1970 UK 1st PRESS *UK FAN CLUB ONLY* LP
**NEAR MINT AUDIO**
This 1970 UK Fan Club Only release was pressed by LYNTONE and is on the dark green Apple label: LYN 2153/4
The disc contains all The Beatles' Christmas messages which originally appeared on flexi-discs sent out to their fans from 1963 to 1969.
Housed in a front laminated 'West Brothers'' cover complete with its original white, die-cut inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: LYN 2154 Side 2: LYN 2153
Disc Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS
The 'roughness' of the labels is a manufacturing feature and not a result of wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean & glossy surfaces which bear just a few light fingernail marks on side 1 but no other significant signs of wear to either side.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals nothing further than a few wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines.
Pressed on very thick vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
The entire disc plays and sounds 'as new'.
Apart from a hint of light surface noise on the earlier tracks from the original source material as all were dubs of Freda Kelly's original flexi discs.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and there are no clicks, jumps or any other trace of audible wear elsewhere.
Cover: VERY GOOD MINUS
A vibrant & unyellowed front panel with just some light creases to the corner areas but no missing or damaged laminate.
There is some minor shelfwear to the corners but both opening edges are undamaged with no tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel bears some staining but both seams & the spine are strong and unsplit.
This disc has been carefully audibly graded in its entirety on a Rega P9 deck fitted with a Shelter 901 cartridge.
