'FROM THEN TO YOU - THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS RECORD 1970'

1970 UK FAN CLUB ONLY APPLE LP

This rare 7-track LP was posted free to all UK Fan Club members in December 1970.

It features all of The Beatles Christmas messages from 1963 to 1969 inclusive.

Housed in a front laminated 'West Brothers' printed cover.

Complete with its original plain white, die-cut 'Patent No.' inner sleeve.

Matrix numbers: Side 1: LYN 2154 & Side 2: LYN 2153

Matrix numbers on the labels Side 1: LYN 2153 & Side 2: LYN 2156.

Disc weight: 169g

CONDITION

Labels: EXCELLENT

A clean & vibrant set with just a small collection of spindle trails around each centre hole but no major faults to either.

Visual: VERY GOOD

Both surfaces are clean but do bear some noticeable surface marks and the occaisional light scratch. However, there are no deep or feelable marks and this heavy disc lies 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD +

Despite the fact that this disc has been played many times and the the material on it was sourced from Freda Kelly's set of flexi-discs, the audio is extremely respectable througout. There is an occaisional light tick and some minor light background, but nothing, in my opinion, to spoil the listening enjoyment. There are certainly no heavy clicks, jumpr, repeats or any other similar major faults anywhere.

Cover: VERY GOOD -

This rare coverr has a bright and clean front panel which displays some general handling & storagewear.The cover's only major fault is some damage along a 10cm length of the spine. The rear panel bears a disc impression from storage but is free from any writing or missing paper. Both upper & lower seams are fully intact and undamaged.

Inner Sleeve: VERY GOOD


Clean & flat with just two small tears to the centre hole but no split or writing.


  • Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
