Description
THE BEATLES - 'BEATLES FOR SALE'
First issued in October 1969, the '1-EMI box' Parlophone label replaced the yellow & black design which had been employed since April 1963. All Beatles albums released with this label were cut form the same masters as the 1st pressings and in most cases retain the same matrices. Each was pressed on high-quality virgin vinyl and retain all of the warmth and flawless sound quality of the 1st pressings at a fraction of the cost, making them arguably the best value Beatles vinyl available.
This NEAR MINT copy of 'Beatles For Sale' is on that same '1-EMI box' EMI/Parlophone label: PCS 3062
The word 'World' is misspelt as 'Worlld' in the publishing credit to 'Kansas City' on the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 142-1 & YEX 143-1 (the same as the 1964 1st pressing)
Stamper codes: 1,6/PG & 1,6,8/PG
Vinyl weight: 139g
Housed in an outer laminated gatefold cover without inner-flipbacks.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Labels: NEAR MINT
A clean & unblemished pair with just a small handful of faint spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine, deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked and 'as new' both in strong daylight and displays just a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp.
Play: NEAR MINT
Without doubt the finest sounding of their early stereo albums, this warm, clear and clean sounding copy has received just a handful of careful plays on top-quality equipment and as a result, the sound quality is wonderful and flawless throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean, strong & unworn example with and uncreased and undamaged front & rear panels. The only significant sign of wear is a 5mm split to the lower edge of the centre hinge. The inside of the gatefold is clean & unworn and both seams and the spine are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT -
Clean and flat with a few light storage bends and toning to the paper, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
