This excellent genuine 1st UK mono pressing dates from December 1964 on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240

The labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with an 'KT' purchase tax code in the centre of the side 2 label.


Matrix numbers: XEX 503-3N & XEX 504-3N

Stamper codes: 2/AAG & 4/ADR

Vinyl weight: 152g


The disc is housed in an outer laminated, UK printed gatefold mono cover.

Complete with original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.



CONDITION

Disc: EXCELLENT -

This early example has recieved a moderate amount of play but is without any major audible or visual issues. Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with the only significant blemish being a light mark at the end of track 1 on side 1 which produces a few soft clicks. However apart from that and a few harmless wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve, that there is little else to fault on this hard to find early pressing.
 
Cover: EXCELLENT

A tough cover to find in anything approaching this condition, but this highly respectable example bears nothing more than some minor storagewear and no major faults. The delicate front leaf is glossy & uncreased with slight curling towards the right corners but no tears to any of the exposed edges. The rear panel is just as clean, showing nothing more than a faint disc impression. Both inside panels of the gatefold are unmarked and both ends of the delitae centre hinge are fully intact. The spine is square, unsquashed and retains unworn pinched ends. All seams are smooth & unstresed. 

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Crisp & flat with no writing, tears or seam splits.
