1964 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* LP
**NEAR MINT**
This NEAR MINT 1964 UK 1st mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback gatefold mono cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-4N
Stamper numbers: 3,8/GOT & 2,8/AOL
Just 2 tiny spindle lines on the side 2 label. Side 1 is perfect & unmarked.
Visual: NEAR MINT
A common LP but really impossible to find in this condition. Apart from my careful playcheck, this copy has been played just ONCE.
Both sides appear MINT when viewed in strong daylight, with marks or wear visible on either side.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some wispy hairlines from initial inner-sleeve removal but no other wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
In order to gain 100% accuracy, I play graded the entire LP at volume on both headphones & through speakers.
I am pleased to report that this copy plays throughout 'as new'.
As you would expect, both run-ins and all bands run silently & all tracks play cleanly and clearly without any traces of audible wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Impossible to upgrade.
Cover: NEAR MINT
This superb clean & strong example has been carefully stored since purchase in a non-smoking environment.
The front leaf is glossy with just a slight ripple, but the edges and corners are all clean & sharp.
The inside is clean & black where it should be with undamaged flipbacks and an intact, unsplit hinge which is fully intact at both ends.
The rear panel is clean & glossy with no ringwear, creasing or other signs of wear.
The spine is bright white, square and unsquashed & retainins its factory 'pinching' at both ends.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
Crispy & clean with no tears or splits.
