This copy is from the 1970's - at the time of the release of the Rock and Roll LP
This single (featuring 2 unreleased single songs) was considered for release alongside the double LP to promote the album.

HISTORY
This item dates back to the 1970's and is one of the first demo discs produced after the Beatles split up. EMI began to consider the wealth of opportunity they had in being able to make money from the Beatles back catalogue and so a number of ideas for compilations were considered. A single LP featuring all the Beatles greatest songs has never been possible - it needs to balanced between the band members and of course there are so many favourites.
The Rock and Roll double LP was an attempt to bring together the faster paced songs of the Beatles, and the accompanying single release were the very well-known songs (never released however as singles) 'Back in the USSR' and 'Twist and Shout'. This item is a rare demo disc for that single release and remains today extremely rare.

The labels appear MINT - although under bright light show small signs of spindle marks both sides.

Excellent condition under bright light - small light surface marks not affecting the enjoyment of play in any way.
