You are bidding on a complete set of 12 HMV CD Beatle box sets.
The series was released by HMV in the 80's on a very limited basis.
The box that caught most people out was the first. Known as the Black Box, it contained the first four albums by the Beatles, Please Please Me, With the Beatles, Hard Days Night, and Beatles for Sale.
Limited to 5,000, the Black Box sold at £49.99.
Following the Black Box, came the RED BOX, this time with three albums, Help, Rubber Soul, and Revolver. I believe the limited edition ran to 10,000 this time.
After that the releases were a single album at a time. They also increased the number in the edition, which meant many people picked up the later releases.
Here's the details;
1. BLACK BOX edition no 1289, inc 4 CD's, LP size fact sheet by Johnny Black, and the Book of Beatle Lists (unread).
2. RED BOX edition 4019, inc 3 CD's, LP size intro by Johnny Black, and the Beatles no 12 monthly book from 1964 (unread).
3. Sgt Peppers, edition no 6305, inc CD, Badge, Sgt Pepper cut out (untouched), Booklet and Picture cardboard cover for CD.
4. Yellow Submarine edition no 2057, inc CD, Narrative by JB, Gatefold LP size cut out (untouched), and Badge.
5. White Album edition no 3211, inc CD stamped with limited no 13627, LP size booklet, and badge.
6. Magical Mystery Tour edition no 3873, inc CD, LP size booklet by JB, Large Poster (all untouched), and Badge.
7. Let It Be edition no 5010, inc CD, 12 page LP size booklet.
8. Abbey Road edition no 1505. inc CD, 8 page LP size booklet, 2 Posters and Badge.
9. Past Masters Vol 1 edition no 3522, inc CD, LP size booklet, and Badge.
10. Past Masters Vol 2 edition no 1320, inc CD, LP size booklet and Badge.
11. 1962-1966 Red double no 6502, inc double CD, LP size booklet and poster.
12. 1967-1970 Blue Double no 2393, inc double CD, LP size booklet and poster.
The only down point is that the boxes have been stored in a cardboard box and their are small signs of rubbing at the edges of the boxes. However all the contents are perfect.
