Description
Check my ratings first- eBay is a tough venue to verify vintage collectibles.
No glue residue or any other markers indicating peel. However, this has not been authenticated.
I found this at a Key West record shop 11 years ago in June 1999 for $650.00. I have included the receipt in the photos and it will go with the album along with frame and the recall letter dated June 14, 1966 asking that all stores ship the albums back as ," a sampling of public opinion in the United States indicates that the cover design is open to misinterpretation."
1. Cover- "Capitol Records" "ST 2553" indicating stereo.
Capitol made 10 monos for evey 1 stereo "New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo." on front. Same in "FDS" logo on back with "ALSO AVAILABLE IN REGULAR MONOPHONIC."
This album was pressed in Jacksonville, Illinois as indicated by the # "2" stamped on the back cover where most of their recalled covers were sent to a local landfill. I would like to say that this was a survivor but cannot make that statement definitively.

"REG US PAT OFF" inside Capitol oval logo
"File Under Beatles" on white border.

3. Sleeve- Yellow with "CAPITOL '66; SOUNDS GREAT
....with new improved Full Dimensional Stereo that sounds better than stereo has ever sounded before"
Small circle stating "Printed in USA" to the left of "PE 12-2FS"
Sleeve promotes multiple Capitol records including other Beatles
It shows great in the frame but I have also included photos of both sides outside the frame.It pretty much is as all the photos show. No spline open gaps. The inside yellow sleeve is excellent but you can see where the record worked through small section on two sides an bottom if you really want to go and find it. The vinyl is cool as is shown. No nasty scratches. Actually it looks wonderful.

Always happy to talk Beatles :) Yes if you look at this auction 230443677431 and check the picture of the back cover..the number is on the lower right to the left of the RIAA symbol. A #2 is scranton, 3 is scranton, 4 is jacksonville, 5 and 6 are LA. These numbers are also important as they will indicate not only the banner color for the stereo versions but also if they will have the Scranton lines and more importantly to those who peel or have them peeled what type of glue was used on the paste over (Scranton is water soluble, LA is alcohol based and more difficult).
