The Beatles: BOOTLEG Capitol Records P 5810 Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields Forever Promo in Mint- condition!!
Believed to be a 1970s or early 1980s bootleg or possibly a reissue (highly suspect) of the famed 1967 Promo. The giveaway of course is the thinner font than the thicker, bolder font originally used (see comparison photo).
The BMI times match the original and the Piccolo trumpet ending is included at the end of Penny Lane. However a full note short on the opening of Strawberry Fields Forever. Otherwise a match to original sound quality. This Bootleg is in Mint minus condition - played only once to test audio and for any skips (which there are none).
These are now very hard to find in any really good condition and often mistaken for the originals.
In the runouts - Side 1: 45-X45870 (hand etched with no F or G numbers and no 6 sided star or asterisk symbol), Side 2: 45-X45871.
Comes with a vintage Capitol sleeve (CAP RS.02E - Spizer).
