Information on "Abbey Road"     Believe it or not, this is the Made In France edition of Abbey Raod Green Vinyl, released a year prior to Parlophone's 1st colored edition in the U.K. It's an original M6 - Pathe Marconi.     Following the disasterous Let It Be sessions, Paul had approached producer George Martin asking if they could make an album "the way we used to." Martin agreed, but only if the band would be "the way (they) used to be." Paul replied, "We promise," and sessions began for the Beatles best-selling record, Abbey Road, briefly recorded under the working title Everest. Songs about being in debt, being broke, and being ripped off filled the record's grooves. Also, George came into his own as a writer with Here Comes the Sun and Something. The sessions proved to be the last for the Beatles. The cassette version of Abbey Road has Come Together and Here Comes the Sun switched on the track list, and the U.K. version does not list Her Majesty on the back cover, whereas some U.S. copies feature one or the other, or both. Rumors circulated for some time that Paul was not wearing pants for the cover photo and they were airbrushed on, but photo outtakes from the same session have proven this false. The album won the 1969 Grammy for Best Engineered (Non-Classical) Recording. Nominated for Album Of The Year and Best Contemporary Vocal Performance, Group.     You are bidding on a copy of Beatles'  "Abbey Road" album, issued  by  Apple France in 1978.  This record comes in an absoultely MINT shape.

    It is the worldwide 1st press on GREEN VINYL. The record is Made in France by Pathe Marconi. This Copy looks like taken from the store's shelf - a maximum of visual and audio quality. The Label shows that rare original DC 8 catalog number, and the M6 stampers are certainly present on both inner grooves.

    Record plays ABSOLUTELY smoothtly; no skips, repeats, noises, or whatever. There is not a single visual flaw, nothing, mint minus.

    If you're serious about "scanning for" Beatles collectibles, this nice item is kind of "must-have" (unless you already own that record).

Shipping costs posted in our ads include NO INSURANCE. If you'd like to have your item shipped insured, or if you prefer a different shipping service/carrier, please request related charges prior to end of auction. Basically, you should allow a response time of 24 hours.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON SHIPPING TIME
As soon as we drop an LP mailer at the mail office's desk, it is somewhat unpredictable how long the rest of the process will take (and totally out of our hands). Experience so far shows: same delivery took 3 days to Tokyo, seven to NYC, almost three weeks to the Philippines or MidWest United States. Even inside Germany shipping times range from one day to an entire week.
Thus: Beside a handling time of up to three business days, allow one to three weeks shipping.
Please keep all those facts in mind when finally grading our seller-skills.
