THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
This fine UK stereo pressing dates from 1968 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3058
Both labels have the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' worded rims.
Matrix numbers: YEX 126-1 & YEX 127-2*
Stamper codes: 3,4/OT & 1/AH
Vinyl weight: 148g
* The -2 side 2 matrix is seldom seen on this pressing. Audio analysis of its opening track, 'Anytime At All', shows that the song's distinctive opening drum 'crack' is slightly shorter than on the -1 cut having been trimmed too much at the start. We have attempted to illustrate this in image #12 on the listing which shows the waveforms of the first half a second of the song of both cuttings. The first waveform excerpt (left) is from this -2 cut where the length of the drum crack measures 0.30 seconds. The second waveform excerpt (right) is of the -1 cut which shows it as being slightly longer at 0.37 seconds. Not a huge difference, but for anyone who is familiar with the track, the difference is noticeable.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the small front stereo indicator.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

A pristine pair with just a single faint spindle trail around each centre hole.
Visual/Audio: NEAR MINT
Pristine deep-gloss which are 'as new' both in strong daylight and directly beneath halogen light.
Flawless & wonderful sound quality throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT +
This superb example retains a fine high-gloss front panel which is clean & unworn with no 'thumbnails' or storagewear rubbing.
There is minor shelfwear to the lower corners but the upper two and both opening edges are completely unworn.
The exposed rear panel is pristine white with just a tiny rubbed area beneath the upper flipback.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine unworn.
