THE BEATLES - 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT'
This EXCELLENT UK MONO 1964 1st pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1230
Both labels bear a rarely seen typeface layout together with the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
Also unusually, an 'MT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 481-3N & XEX 482-3N
Stamper codes: 1/ARL & 4/AGP
Vinyl weight: 153g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the 'mid-sized' front mono indicator.
Complete with its 'Use Emitex..' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean, bright & unblemished pair with some spindle marks to each centre hole, but little else to fault.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean & retain all of their deep-gloss shines. Side 1 displays two noticeable non-feelable surface marks (one of which is quite long) in strong daylight, but none on side 2. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals some minor inner-sleeve removal marks/hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine but no further significant blemishes or wear. Both sides of this heavy copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Play: VERY GOOD +
This copy has been played many times but bears no major deterioration to the sound qulaity throughout. My careful play-check did detect some light playwear on the final few tracks on each side but apart from that, there is little else to fault. Both run-ins and all bands play without interference and there are no clicks, pops, jumps oo any other such faults anywhere.

EXCELLENT
A very solid and clean example which bears an unscratched and unworn front laminate where the only trace of wear is a few light spine wrinkles but no 'thumbnails'. There is a little wear to the upper left corner but all others and both opening edges are undamaged and unworn. The rear panel is extremely bright and clean and completely blemish and wear-free. All flipbacks are fully intact and the seams and spine are smooth, unstressed and unworn.

Clean & crisp with just some light storagewear wrinkles, but no writing, tears or seam splits.
