READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.
Beatles ’65 LP 1964 First Pressing MONO Decca Consignment, EX/VG+!
VERY nice copy of this Decca-consigned album. For those unfamiliar, Decca discs had their concentric rings on their labels very close to the playhole. Their labels were pressed flat against the vinyl, as opposed to Capitol’s raised ones. Decca was also not very good at cutting the labels off of their label sheets, so more often than not, the rainbows come out lop-sided.
But they were still nice people, I’m sure.
Vinyl--- EX/VG+. Side 1 looks close to unplayed, with just a very few light angel hairs. Side 2 has a few more. Just enough to not merit an EX grading. None can be felt with the fingertip.
Plates--- T9/T11. No Capitol markings are present, of course.
Cover--- EX. Very handsome. Back cover has just a little bit of dirtwear, but is still very white. Front cover looks freshly-printed. Muscular-strong seams and spine. NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Labels--- NM/NM. Labels look 1964-brand new, freshly printed. NO SPINDLE MARKS.
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- EX. Burnt orange original Capitol inner sleeve is present. A few wrinkles, but NO SEAM SPLITS.
A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

If you still need a keeper Decca MONO pressing, this is it.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
