Beatles 45 1968 Lady Madonna First Pressing SCARCEST LA Font, EX!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Ever see one of these in decent condition? Ever see one of these at all?
99.9% of the time when I happen to spot one for sale, they’re never any better than VG condition. And if they somehow happen to be at least a weak VG+, someone’s written their initials on the labels.
This font variation is so seldom seen. One thing I noticed is that if you compress the font into a tighter configuration, you’d have the font that was used on Apple label reissues of the catalogue. (See compere photo.)
Apart from the green label promo and the red dome, this is the next-scarcest variation for this title. NOT easy!
This is the cleanest copy I’ve ever seen.
Vinyl: EX/EX. Just a shade off of NM, which other sellers would have no problem using as their grade.
Plates: F7/F7. Machine-stamped asterisk in the dead wax makes this copy pressed in Los Angeles.
Labels: NM/NM. Full-gloss, brand new-looking labels. See compere photo for the far more common LA labels.
Sleeve: EX/EX. Has the west coast thumb tab, NO SPLIT SEAMS.
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.
Be sure to have a look at the only other title in the swirl catalogue with this font style, “Hello Goodbye,” also for sale this week.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!

Winners in all other countries will be charged actual shipping to their locations, so please wait to be invoiced. You will be quoted for the cheapest shipping to your country that the US post office can afford me. Please let me know if you would prefer to pay for a faster means of shipping, but do NOT ask me to declare packages as gifts, or any other means of defrauding the postal services. Much appreciated.

This means that immediate payments will be shipped out the following morning, and later payments must wait until the first available Monday or Thursday after payment is received. Please pay within 7 days of the auction ending. I do leave negative feedback for non-payers.
Money back guarantee if you're not happy with your purchase.
