Beatles 45 1965 Kansas City RARE Green Starline Label VG++/NM
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Issued only for the Christmas season of 1965, this very short-lived series of green swirls are hard enough to find as it is. Judging by the ridiculous prices people try to get for their beaten up copies, this copy will make an outstanding Christmas gift for some serious Beatles collector out there.
Sleeve: Company Capitol Starline sleeve is present and in very nice condition. Bottom seam has a one-inch split. Other seams are intact, although they are frayed. Sleeve is nice and flat with a thumb tab edge on Side 2. A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company Capitol Starline sleeve during shipping.
Vinyl: VG++/ NM. Under normal room lighting, this 45 looks 1965-brand new and fresh. Use a bare bulb to find just a few scant and light needle lines on each side. You’re not going to find a much nicer one anytime soon.
Labels: Beautiful green swirls have just a tad fading to them. Kansas City side has a little bit of slick loss to the label at the ten o’clock position.
Plates: P1/ P1. Both trail-off areas have the machine-stamped triangle with “IAM” inside it, making this copy a Scranton pressing.
Stunning gorgeous keeper. Next week, the LA pressing in equally impressive condition will be for sale, so check back if you want a matching set!
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
