READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

I’m willing to bet that there are collectors all over the country right now, leaning in to their computer screens, asking themselves, “WHAT is THAT?!”

So seldom seen Vol. 1 with not only green labels, but also with a completely different color scheme than the more commonly-known box.  John and Paul have exchanged their color backgrounds, Ringo has a new shade of green not previously used, and George is in the light blue background that Ringo previously occupied on the more common box lid. 

The words, “Vol. 1” have been added to this lid, and the word, “stereo” is in red lettering, rather than in purple, as on the common box lid.

This boxed set is extremely rare.  It’s the only one I’ve seen complete since 1975, when I began collecting.  It’s also the copy that was featured in my two-volume set of rare Beatles U.S. pressings, which is the first and only time anywhere that this unknown set has been discussed.

Vinyl--- NM/NM. NM/NM. EX/NM. NM/EX.  All sides look barely (if at all) played.  Sides 5 and 8 have minor blemishes and manufacturer’s defects only.  Some collectors would have graded those sides as NM also.

Plates--- All plates bear the hand-etched letters, “ATRBH,” followed sequentially by the numbers 1 through 8, respectively.

Cover--- VG+.  Minor edgewear to all lips of the lid.  Bottom lip has a small center split, not too bad.  One split corner by Ringo.  Small horizontal bubble above George’s head.

NO CRUSHED CORNERS (meaning splits that led to tearing of the lip, leaving flaps dangling) OF EITHER THE LID OR TRAY!

**Albums will ship behind the empty lid, in order not to damage the lid or tray during transport to you.**

Labels--- Most labels are NM, NO SPINDLE MARKS.  One label does have a few very light, very short spindle marks, too inconsequential to capture in a photo.  I tried.  They’re too light.  Labels look brand-spanking new!

**NOTE: Side 5 has 8 songs, but only 7 are listed on the label.  The missing song is “She’s a Woman.”**

Inner Sleeves--- All sleeves are EX.  A little yellowing, but NO SEAM SPLITS.

**You’re not going to see another green label set for sale, much less in very nearly unplayed condition.  And neither will I.  This is your one chance.**

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)
