READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles 1969 LP Meet the Beatles RARE Record Club Straight Transfer Green Label, VG+!

By far, when you come across a Record Club issue of Meet the Beatles on the green label, it will be the labels that were specially-printed for the run.  But a few of the initial copies had used the text template that was laid out for the black rainbow label.  Those, you aren’t going to find without great difficulty.

This is one.

Vinyl--- Strong VG+.  Just one or two light, non-feelable but visible scuffs per side, along with some hairlines that you’ll have to hunt for.

Plates--- W1/W1.  No Capitol insignia is present, because none of the usual plants pressed record club issues.  The inserted numeral “8” is in the dead wax as well as the labels and cover, making this a Record Club issue, for sure.

Cover--- VG.  Top and bottom seams have splits.  Back cover has dirtwear.  Three diagonal black bars are at the top left corner, which was the trademark of a Record Club cover.

Labels--- EX/NM.  Side 1 label has one light spindle mark.  Side 2 label looks brand new.

There are two characteristics to this straight transfer Record Club label variation.

**The label is blue-green, as opposed to the decidedly lime green color of all the other green label Record Club issues.

**The catalogue number of the black label, which was transferred to this blue-green label has no dash between the inserted numeral “8” and the 2047.

See photos.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- EX.  Generic white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  NO SEAM SPLITS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 16

Collectors know that Record Club issues are hard to begin with.  If your collector doesn’t have this straight transfer label in their collection, now’s your opportunity to get them something for Christmas that they’re too hard to buy for!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
