Description
Beautiful, truly Near Mint copy of Vee Jay’s 1964 Beatles interview LP (VJLP 202 PRO).
This LP was legitimately reissued by (what was left of) Vee Jay in 1979. This copy is an authentic 1964 first pressing, perfectly matching the detailed information provided by Bruce Spizer in his Vee Jay reference book (pages 179 - 181).
* Spizer ID#: VJ 202.MR1A - first pressing, has VJLP 202 PRO on the label (“PRO” was removed on the next pressing).
* Matrix information:
- Jim Steck/Lennon side: Machine-stamped “MR in a circle” symbol (indicates a Monarch pressing), hand-etched 64-6608 and hand-etched triangle symbol with 7109.
- Dave Hull/Beatles side: Also has the machine-stamped “MR in a circle” symbol, with hand-etched 64-6609 and hand-etched triangle symbol with 7109X.
CONDITION:Gorgeous Near Mint (highest grade I use) all the way.

* Vinyl: Beautiful luster, no scratches. A few (typical) very light handling scuffs. I’m not the original owner, but I see nothing to indicate that it’s ever been played (and I certainly haven’t played it).
* Labels: No wear, no writing. No spindle marks on either side, which also leads me to believe it hasn’t been played.
* Cover: No wear, writing, staining or seam splits. All four corners are square. There are a couple of small minor creases on the upper left corner, visible on the front side only
This really is a stunning copy and a final keeper.
