    Here is The Beatles on Vee Jay 522 from May of 1963!!! This was released nine months before they were even on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time. Basically this release got some radio play, but went nowhere in May, '63. As a result, it is now rare and a sought after Beatles 45. Not many were pressed. This copy has nice labels, except for some small writing in the "rainbow" around the edge of the label (see photos). I played both sides of this copy and they both played all the way through without any skips, etc. However, what I heard was rough, as if the record had been played many times.
    Later Vee Jay Beatles releases sold very well. However, this release and VJ 498 were very poor sellers and so they are rare. Mint copies of this 45 sell for hundreds of dollars. This would serve someone as a file copy until one in better condition comes along.
