Here’s an ORIGINAL 1966 copy the Beach Boys Pet Sounds album. Many critics have called this the greatest album of all time. With its lush, symphonic sounds, it is truly a masterpiece of music production by the leader of the Beach Boys, Brian Wilson. When it originally came out in May 1966, it suffered the fate of a record company that did not believe in this “new” sound. Instead, the company concentrated their promotional efforts on a greatest hits album, released soon after. As a result the album, while being a hit, wasn’t a huge seller in comparison to earlier Beach Boys albums, and original copies of it are hard to come by. This is definitely one of the nicer copies of this LP I’ve seen over the years. The vinyl grades VG++ due to some slight hairline scuffs, maybe a strong VG+ if you’re really retentive. The front cover has a “like new” appearance… bright strong graphics. There is a name and date on the back cover, along with a light stain in the corner.
