The Beach Boys Endless Summer 2 LP Vinyl Record With folded poster that unfolds to 20" X 30" size1978 U.S. re-pressing on Capitol Records purple label. (Original had orange labels in 1974). No writing on cover or labels. Cover is in EX condition with slight corner dings and bottom edge shelf wear. (See photos 5 & 6). Discs are in NM (Near Mint) condition. Labels are clean. (see photos). Includes the folded poster of the plane and Beach Boys banner.
I am including a FREE! a clear outer protective and a poly-lined inner sleeves to keep your album in great shape. An excellent album to add to your Vinyl record collection!
"Endless Summer" is a 1974 collection of their 1963-1966 material (all but one cut predating "Pet Sounds"). The compilation displays a number of oddities, including the inclusion of album versions of "Be True To Your School", "Help Me Ronda", and "Fun, Fun, Fun" instead of the hit-single versions, a difference which is subtle in the last case, but more prominent in the first two. This album contained a poster depicting an airplane flying a Beach Boys banner. The cover artwork reflected the Beach Boys' seventies appearance.
In the USA, the double album spent 155 weeks on the Billboard album chart, peaking at #1 and selling over three million copies. Released as a double album in a gatefold sleeve in the USA.
