Hail!
I am offering one of the most legendary and sought-after early black metal releases: Bathory – Bathory which was recorded at Heaven Shore Studio, Stockholm, Sweden, Mixed at Electra Studio, Stockholm, Sweden and released first time on vinyl in 1984 by Tyfon Music for Black Mark Label (BMLP 666-1). This one is known as the Yellow Goat edition. RARE as HELL!
The printing on the cover was originally meant to be in gold instead of yellow, but because the expensive gold color could not be afforded the printing company was asked to use a standard color as close to gold as possible.
This is the original 1984 Swedish first press of Bathory’s self-titled debut album — a milestone release that defined the foundations of black metal as a genre. Raw, primitive, and atmospheric, this record captures the earliest and most influential phase of Quorthon’s vision.
The album is widely regarded as one of the most important extreme metal releases of all time, setting the template for countless bands that followed. Its sound is harsh, cold, and minimalistic, yet deeply powerful and iconic in its simplicity.

Condition: Despite 58 years old, the overall shape is still very good. This copy includes the original insert and presents very well for its age. The vinyl is in excellent condition, showing no visible hairlines or significant scratches. It retains a strong visual sheen and has been carefully preserved over the years. Labels are clean and well-maintained. The sleeve is in very good condition considering its age. It shows a crease in the upper right corner and some light handling wear and wrinkles, but overall remains solid and highly presentable.
