Description

Here’s a very rare hillbilly 78 by Bascom Lamar Lunsford! It was recorded in 1928 and features the songs “I Wish I Was A Mole In The Ground” and “Mountain Dew”. It’s on the Brunswick label, number 219. “Mole” was featured on Harry Everett Smith’s compilation “Anthology of American Folk Music”. The song “Mountain Dew” was later used as the first advertising theme for the popular soft drink of the same name. The disc has graying throughout, but it plays well, better than I thought it would. Some light scratches and general wear exist, but nothing really bad. I think it would grade about E-. Very hard record to find, with great historical value! Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. Shipping is a little higher because I pack 78s well... they are fragile!! California residents add 8.225% tax. Happy bidding!!
