Mint Condition A Thing Of the Past/A Little Bit Of Soap This rare 1964 promo recording is part of a recently-discovered cache of demos, acetates and other records from the BBC. St John – real name Liz Thompson - was a Glasgow-born singer who sang with some local bands in London and Hamburg before turning solo. The A side is a cover of a Shirelles hit while the B side is a great version of the earlier Jarmels hit. Morrison eventually went into session work, including Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon. The A side bears a silver A and the words Demonstration Sample Not For Sale. Comes in the original blue and white Decca sleeve.
