Notes
Recorded in London during November of 1968. The recording was made in the Parish Church of St. James' Norlands. Out thanks to Reverend Hill, whose generous cooperation made the recording possible, and to engineer Bob Woolford, whose equipment took the sounds out of the church onto tape. The music itself was played and recorded "straight". No amplification or electronic devices were used. Editing of the basic material consisted only of eliminating certain portions in order to bring the music to a proper length of two sides of a disc, and occasional repositioning of some of it in order to arrive at a better weight. What you hear, therefore, is just the way it happened in the church.
In England this Opus One record is released through Spark Records Ltd. on the "Music Man" label. All rights belong to Barre Phillips.
