Description
Well after many decades I have now come to the point - reluctantly - where I am parting with my personal record collection.
Difficult to know where to start so I am starting with my Hendrix records. I purchased this album second hand in Cheltenham in the mid 1970s. During my ownership the record has been played on a Thorens TD 50 with a very light tracking weight.
As with most of my collection the records have been kept in plastic lined inner sleeves.
The cover (which is the original matt version) and spine are in good condition for their age although the wording is not very legible on the spine.
The vinyl is in very good condition with no visible marks or scratches. It also plays very well with minimum "noise" from the vinyl.I don't have a formal grading system but I would describe it as "excellent". There are some marks on the label around the spindle where a record arm would have held the record.
This is the iconic cover featuring the three members of the band plus John Peel! The cover was superceded by a more mundane cover for later pressings. The name "Band of Gipsies" is spely with an "i" on the label but with a "y" on the cover.
