Badfinger/Beatles Error Both Badfinger Labels, Both Sides Play Beatles! NM

I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

As seen in the photos, the labels for this 45 are for the “Come and Get It” b/w “Rock of All Ages” Apple release from 1969.  However, looking at the dead wax catalogue numbers, the plate on Side 1 is for “Let It Be,” and the plate for Side 2 is for “You Know My Name (Look Up the Number.)”

And indeed, both sides of the 45 play those Beatles tunes!

Sleeve:  “The Beatles on Apple” company sleeve is EX, butting right up against NM.  Original price tag still affixed to the front of the sleeve.  Gorgeous.  Looks just like it did in the record bin in 1970.

A generic white sleeve will be provided to protect your company sleeve during shipping.

Vinyl: NM, unplayed-looking on both sides.  Store-stock condition.

Labels: NM/ NM.

Plates: Z11/ Z12.  See photo comparisons that show that the catalogue numbers on the labels are Badfinger’s, (red) but the catalogue numbers in the dead wax on both sides are The Beatles (yellow).

A stunner error, a stunner copy.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!
