Description

Here it is, in NEAR MINT CONDITION, the great "Back to the Known" EP released in 1985 (although it says 1984 on the sleeve, it was really released in 1985) on Epitaph Records, marking the band's return to a more traditional punk rock sound after their ill-fated incursion in psychedelic-progressive rock that was "Into the Unknown", released in '83. With the return to their original sound, and the elimination of keyboards and psychedelia, Pete Finestone was back on drums (he had been replaced by Davy Goldman on "Into the Unknown") and they hired Tim Gallegos of Wasted Youth to play bass (Paul DeDona, who played bass on "Into the Unknown", was kicked out of the band) and added Greg Hetson from the Circle Jerks to play guitar, replacing Brett Gurewitz, who had left the band after "Into the Unknown" only to come back a few years later, quit again, then come back again... oh well... This is the rare original ONE SIDED record, which means that all of the songs are on "side two" and there's NOTHING on side 1, which is plain! It says "Chrome Tool Box", "EPI-BREP-2" and "L-18722-X" in the dead wax of this record, proving it to be an original first pressing. That great record was produced by Brett Gurewitz and Greg Graffin, engineered by Brett Gurewitz and recorded and mixed at Pacifica Studios in Los Angeles, California. Greg Graffin, who sings lead and backing vocals on this one, also plays acoustic guitar on the song "New Leaf" and wrote all the lyrics, except those to the song "Bad Religion", written by Brett Gurewitz. The song Frogger, taking its name from an old video arcade game (from which you can hear the funny sounds in the beginning of the song) was co-written by Greg Graffin and Wryebo Martin, who was a friend of the band and came up with the song title and chorus. The record was made in the U.K. and distributed in the United States by Suite Beat, a Santa Monica, California, Company. Bad Religion disbanded (again) soon after the release of this album only to come back stronger in 1987 with "Suffer". Track listing: 1. Yesterday 2. Frogger 3. Bad Religion 4. Along The Way 5. New Leaf Record and jacket are in NEAR MINT CONDITION (SEE PICTURE!) Any Bad Religion collector should have this ultra-rare item! Buyer to pay shipping. Pay by money order or cashier’s check . or PayPal. Please take a look at my other auctions :) Please Note that I sell to ANYBODY willing to pay (no country-discrimination here!) and I won't charge an arm and a leg for shipping. You'll pay exact shipping charges. Me too, I hate those people who ask more money for "handling" or "packing" or "their time". I do the work by myself and with a smile and I recycle envelopes and boxes and use brown bags for packing and I pack well :) I treat my customers the way I like to be treated!
