A three record set of the complete Bach Suites for Unaccompanied Cello performed by Pierre Fournier.  These are early red labelled stereo pressings in stiched covers.  Archiv 198186, 198187 and 198188. Please note: as there are several pressings of this edition, the first one Archiv 198186 seems to be the very 1st pressing (SAPM on label, dated 20 and 21.12.1960) whereas the subsequent records ( 198187 and 198188) seem to be later pressings (no SAPM on labels, not dated). Stitched trifold covers are dated with the following information: Druck: Munstermann-Druck G.m.b.H, Hannover . Printed in Germany . Imprimé em Allemagne . Impreso em Alemania 12 + 70, and respectively for the subsequent records, the dates are 2 + 71 and 5 + 72.

Former owner catalogued these records with a smal white sticker on lower left corner in front, a small blue sticker on lower left corner in the back and a discreet handwritten reference + a signature in the back.

Overall this set is in quite beautiful condition: Covers are close to excellent, all 3 records are between EX and NM, playgraded and for the most part these records play EX to NM with clear dynamics, ocasional clicks only and very light-sounding surface noise at times. Record 1 has a few very light visible hairlines.Overall sound is great and the ocasional clicks could be improved with ultra sonic cleaning. (We have cleaned these records on an Okki Nokki machine, added anti-static Nagaoka sleeves + thick black outer sleeves to protect the records further)

Each record comes with a blue info card detailing relevant information (See last pic). Overall great condition.

PLEASE NOTE:  You are bidding on an original 1950's/60s’ vinyl/Boxset - this will not have completely silent surfaces, even when in unplayed condition - but the sound and recording quality is generally excellent.  If you are looking for absolutely perfect blemish-free reproduction, please bear this in mind.
