ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome 5 LP box set – a superb collector's copy – from Archiv (SKL 122-126, German pressing, AH silver/blue label / stereo logo at 12 o'clock – ED1, booklet and all recording session data cards included, heavy linen box) gathers together the lion's share of Bach's orchestral works in exalted performances and boasting some of the finest players of the day – including Wolfgang Schneiderhan, Hans-Martin Linde, Aurèle Nicolet, Claude Starck, Ralph Kirkpatrick, Ulrich Koch, Otto Büchner et al. – all taped in fine analog sound.

Included is a deluxe full-size, 40-page booklet with archival illustrations and very extensive notes on the music – all texts provided in German, French, and Italian.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the box is near-MINT. Really, there are no flaws to speak of, aside from some minuscule wear at corners. Otherwise, the box appears virtually as new. There are no corner breaks, seamsplits, or owners' markings. Overall, this rates as a truly superb collector's copy.
The condition of the full-size, 40-page, heavy-paper booklet is EXCELLENT. It shows a bit of handling, but that is all. There are no flaws to speak of. The pages remain crisp and bright, free of bends or owners' markings, and binding perfect.
The condition of the 5 LPs is EXCELLENT throughout. Though surfaces are not absolutely silent, really these are fine copies and playback is superb. Those requiring flawless or near-MINT copies are advised to look elsewhere. Overall, these are excellent collector's copies.
