Description
Fletcher Henderson's Orchestra accompanies 7-year old Baby Rose
Marie as she belts out "Say That You Were Teasing Me" and "Take A
Picture Of The Moon" on scroll label Victor 22960.
Both sides were recorded in New York City on March 10, 1932.
Rose Marie was a child singing sensation and later successful in
vaudeville, nightclubs, theater, films, and probably her most
successful and recognizable venue, television, where she was a
featured star in the role of comedy writer Sally Rogers on the Dick
Van Dyke Show on CBS. (see 1970 photo)
This record is in excellent-minus (E-) condition, but there is an edge
flake on the B side that has resulted in a tiny fracture extending in a
few grooves. It passes, but ticks a couple of grooves into the
orchestral introduction. The ticking quickly subsides and then is just
fine. No problem at all on the A side.
