I RECENTLY PURCHASED THE RECORD COLLECTION BELONGING TO A GIRL WHO HUNG OUT AND MANAGED A BAND AT CBGB's IN NEW YORK DURING THE LATE 1970S / VERY EARLY 1980s HEYDAY. THE COLLECTION INCLUDES SOME VERY RARE INDEPENDENT LABEL 45s, EPs, AND LPs CONTAINING THE EARLIEST RECORDED MATERIAL FROM ALT-ROCK AND PUNK ARTISTS WHO LATER BECAME FAMOUS (OR INFAMOUS!!) AND FROM SOME VERY OBSCURE EARLY ALT-ROCK AND PUNK ARTISTS, AS WELL AS SOME EARLY UK 'NEW WAVE' SINGLES AND ALBUMS, SOME ON COLORED VINYL. I AM NOW FINISHED LISTING ALL OF THE U.S. INDIE LABEL 45s, AND I WILL CONTINUE NEXT WITH A WEEK'S WORTH OF RARE UK AND EURO 45s. This is an ORIGINAL 1978 HOLLAND PRESS UNITED ARTISTS RECORDS 45 titled 'Love You More'/'Noise Annoys' from Pete Shelley's UK punk band The Buzzcocks. It is United Artists Records Holland catalog number 5C 006-61490. RECORD COMES PACKAGED IN ITS ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE, WHICH HAS THE ULTRA-RATE HOLLAND-ONLY WHITE ARTWORK (UK PICTURE SLEEVE IS PURPLE AND PINK). Supposedly this picture sleeve is the second-rarest punk picture sleeve, next to The Ramones' Holland picture sleeve for 'Do You Wanna Dance'. This 45 and sleeve is identical to the one previously sold in completed eBay auction number 4737645287 - To view an image of this item and the results of that auction, perform an eBay item number search for eBay item number 4737645287. Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Condition of picture sleeve is a high VG+ with some ring wear on both sides, a very slight amount of discoloration along one edge, and just a few very slight wrinkles as the only flaws. A super-rare item from the early days of punk that belonged to a person who was there at the beginning!
