[PARKWAY 148, US]
MEGA RARE white demo copy of this absolute monster fuzz drenched pounding garage rock / psych double-sider! Have a listen to this if you don't know it! A seriously hard to find 45 in stunning condition!
Due to the extreme rarity of this record and the fact that few people have heard (or even seen) this 45, it is often mentioned in reference/price guide books as being recordings by the same Butlers as those who recorded as Frank(ie) Beverly And The Butlers on the Cameo-Parkway distributed Fairmount label (and on Phila, Liberty Bell, Gamble, Sassy, Gregar etc.). That is however NOT CORRECT.
The Parkway 45 that is up for grabs here has got the same production credits (Bobby Poe, Vernon Sandusky and Mitch Corday) as the British Walkers 45 on Cameo and I suspect that this Butlers 45 is by that very same group. Mitch Corday and Vernon Sandusky were at different times members of the British Walkers and the Chartbusters (on Mutual, Crusader and Bell) and this Butlers disc sure sounds like it might be one of those groups in disguise!
