Description
Burning Spear – Garvey’s Ghost LP (FOX Records, Jamaica) – L. Lindo / Jack Ruby Ocho Rios Pressing
This is an authentic Jamaican pressing of Garvey’s Ghost, the classic dub companion to Burning Spear’s Marcus Garvey album — produced by the legendary Lawrence Lindo (Jack Ruby) out of Ocho Rios, St. Ann Parish, Jamaica.
Issued locally on the FOX label (one of Jack Ruby’s own imprints), this pressing features hand-etched “L. Lindo” and “001-B” matrix markings in the runout — a true sign of a yard-cut Jamaican master rather than the export Island or Clocktower versions.
The sleeve is the original black-and-white photocopied cover, printed and distributed through Jack Ruby Jr., 3 James Ave., Ocho Rios. These local issues were pressed in small quantities, often for Ruby’s own sound-system use, and rarely turn up outside Jamaica.

Notes
This is a true local Ocho Rios pressing, not a later reissue or overseas bootleg. The raw, heavy bass and slightly rough pressing quality are exactly what you want from a 1970s Jamaican dub record — pure sound-system energy from Jack Ruby’s camp.
A rare opportunity to own an authentic yard-press variant of one of the greatest roots-reggae dub albums ever cut.
