Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE: "The Buddy Holly Story" ARTIST: Buddy Holly (And the Crickets) LABEL: CORAL Records Maroon/Silver Label CRL 57279 MONO First Pressing AND CORAL Records  Rainbow Label CRL 57279 MONO Later Pressing
CONDITION:
JACKET - VG+(Jacket has light overall rub/edge/corner/age wear and a 2" split top right corner; both jackets are otherwise UNMARKED; extremely rare in this condition; NOTE: Each record includes its own original Coral inner sleeve - Please see actual album photos) VINYL - VG+(Both records have light/moderate scuffs and marks; labels - Coral "Maroon/Silver" and Coral "Rainbow" - have light spindle marks; vinyl is Coral's deep groove early pressing and later re-pressing - Graded using special daylight balanced spotlight)
SPECIAL FEATURES: Beautiful and rare, this Buddy Holly and The Crickets "Buddy Holly Story" album personifies the best in early guitar-driven Rock and Roll. Made in '59 and '63, these two pressings are unique and historical. I am so glad to be able to offer them in one package. The jacket was the original 1959 version, as is its inner sleeve. The 1963 version also has its original inner sleeve, but has no outer jacket. Please study everything in the photos attached. This remarkable offering will very likely never come around again. Best of luck to you.
TRACKS: Please refer to the back cover and other informational sites for the complete track listing. Thanks so much.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
