Description
This is a very rare DECCA label U.S. 45 from the ' 50s, tunes are : TING A LING & GIRL ON MY MIND, by BUDDY HOLLY & THE THREE TUNES. Neatly stamped in trail off is 45 100443 4, other side 45 100444 4. On the opposite side of label and stamped in trail off of both sides is 2. Labels are flat black with sharp silver print. they would be pristine if not foreach one having a small faint mark from what looks like white nail polish, one side had 2 of these so I lightly scraped with my fingernail, it was right above the E in Decca, it removed the mark, but also some of the label, none the less, it is tiny and you have to look hard to see it. This is the Decca label with star and 6 lines under logo at top of spindle hole. Both of these labels would be perfect if not for these very minor flaws, they have no wear around spindle holes and no stains, fading, stickers, etc. Playing surfaces have a brilliant glossy shine with no scratches, groove wear, defects, warps, etc. Only under close inspection and bright light did I see just a few very light surface scuffs that did not affect play. Both sides sound clean and clear with no distortion or annoying background noise. This is a nice example of this rare Decca 45 by Buddy Holly, he did not sell very well on this label, there for not many exist today in this CONDITION: NM - - - .
