2-Sided 7" Test Pressing (White Labels) Buddy Holly & The Crickets: Peggy Sue Got Married The Crickets: Let's Do It Again Rollercoaster Records RRC 2011 (Issued in 2015)
Since October 1958 when Buddy Holly and The Crickets had split, fans hoped they would get back together again. Buddy had decided to move to New York, telling his mother, “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em”, although she remarked that he was not really happy to have moved there. J.I. and Joe B had already decided New York was not for them and remained in Lubbock, “for now”, hoping that Buddy would return and they would all be together again. If only…. In the years after Buddy’s death, many attempts were made to overdub backings onto his voice and guitar demos. For the most part they didn’t satisfy fans and sometimes they offended them. But now, through the use of modern technology, Buddy and The Crickets have been reunited in a Chris Hopkins mix of ‘Peggy Sue Got Married’. When J I Allison heard this he said, That's unbelievably great! Buddy Holly and The Crickets were the greatest three-piece band in the 1950s. You probably thought you would never hear this: Buddy Holly and The Crickets – together again for the first time since 1958. On the flip is "Let's Do It Again", a 1988 recording by Crickets JI, Joe B and Gordon that was left off the Crickets/Paul McCartney collaboration LP, "T-Shirt".
The record is in Near Mint condition...great sound Both labels are in excellent condition, clean with no marks. Side 1 label has printing (see pics) and Side 2 label is white with no printing
