Greetings and warmest felicitations to one and all... it’s time to pass on the 45’s collection, so prepare for some truly varied listings. Including; crazy-rare 60’s ep’s and some more modern, minty collectables. 60’s rock classics, psyche wonders, the works really. The vast majority being 1st presses, as detailed below, and even a complete set of Charisma samplers… there’s even some mystery items on the horizon, as two of the Charisma set have no label details… just some awesome psych-rock at 33 1/3 rpm on a 7 inch! I welcome suggestions on those…

Anywho, irrespective of the book value, all listings will have a low-low start price, so there are some incredible potential bargains to be had. I’ve a serious mound of these to be sold off, so some of the descriptions will appear a little generic, but, please be assured that service and high quality are still the mantras of the day… I’ve seen where the interest lies in those submitted thus far, so have thinned out the selection a bit and kept it to the most rare and best condition I can find – the rest having been shipped off to the charity shop – the Hythe branch of the cat sanctuary place if you’re interested!

All the very best, indicative photos I can take and accurate gradings and descriptions are below, with ALL items being played through, both sides, on the set-up detailed below. Some of these are one figure, some three, but all will be accurately described and graded… It’s a pretty varied “A to Z”, well, “B to Z” actually, with Badfinger kicking this off and Zager & Evans finishing… followed by those Charisma titles. ·        ALL listings have the same low-start price, as they find the right price eventually… sometimes!

·        I ONLY sell high quality vinyl, some rare, some far less so, but always the best I can find.

·        If it says “NM”… it means “NM”.

·        Start prices are NOT indicative of condition, so there’s serious potential bargains to be had.

·        Every lp is both visually and aurally inspected. The ONLY way to appoint an accurate grading.

·        I l feedback WHEN YOU PAY! No “ransoming” here! You’ve done your bit, so now it’s up to me!

·        I package each lp personally and with a ludicrous level of care! Practically a work of art!

Introduction and MacLizardking’s Initial Review: 2nd in a series of 3, Corral, Buddy Holly ep’s in the “OH MY GAWD, I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M PUTTING THESE ON FOR A 99p START, WITH NO RESERVE!!!” category, if there was such a thing… PLEASE believe me, these are just as rare as they appear, and are in simply AMAZING condition, as described below! One (or rather, three) for SERIOUS collectors! Just wait until we get to the Rolling Stones!!

As mentioned above, all listings benefit from a full play through on my “every-glitch-audible” grading set up of classic wooden Revolver deck and Pioneer A333 amp, all pulsing through a rather splendid pair of Wharfedale Pacific Pi-40 floor-standers. I also gave all of these titles a quick play test on my main set-up for personal listening, just to check it was up to putting through the MacLizardking sales process… I’m delighted to report, this one made the grade… now, please read on

Sleeve Review.

Grading: Truly LOVELY EX.

Comment: Precisely as per description below, with + or – indicating the variance. Tight bright lamination with just whisper of ware to corner tip extremities.

Record Collector Sleeve Gradings;

M (Mint) : “The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition”

NM (Near Mint) : The slightest whisper off perfect, as described above.

EX (Excellent): “The cover and packaging might have minor ware and/or creasing”

VG (Very Good) : “Normal ware and tare on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable”

G (Good) : “The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc”.

F (Fair) : “The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced”.

P (Poor) : “The cover or contents will be badly damaged or partly missing”.

Vinyl/s & Labels Review.

Specific Vinyl grading: VG+ (Slightest whisper of top end sibilance and slightly muzzy… still a great listen!)

Comment: Precisely as per description below, with + or – indicating the variance. VG, if that’s the grade, is still a superb listen!

Record Collector Vinyl Gradings;

M (Mint) : “The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.”

NM (Near Mint) : The slightest whisper off perfect, as described above.

EX (Excellent) : “The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality”

VG (Very Good) : “The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch”

G (Good) : “The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches”

F (Fair) : “The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump”.

P (Poor) : “The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc”.

B (Bad) : “The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler”.

After the auction…

The evening an auction has finished, or on a Monday morn for items finishing at the weekend, I’ll e-mail as follows; should you wish to combine and/or bid on further items, just let me know and I’ll re-invoice when you’ve finished – max 5 discs per package.

Expect to receive the following mails;

1. Initial “You’ve Won!” invoice e-mail, all offering optional registration/insurance to £30.00 coverage.

2. Payment received e-mail. Feedback is also left at this stage. You’ve done your bit, so now it’s up to me!

3. Dispatch notification e-mail, including registration details if taken.

The first shot’s of a single 7 package, right, the boxed three in the middle and the full five on the left. Below that is the whole “family”, as it were, 7’s at the front and lp’s at the back. All as described below….

One 45: A small item of beauty! Small envelope record mailer with two mini-stiffeners, banded with “Fragile” tape.

Two 45’s: A slightly less-small item of beauty! Small envelope record mailer, again with two mini-stiffeners, banded with “Fragile” tape.

Three 45’s: Now we’re getting there! Mini, boxed-edge, cruciform record mailer with three/four mini-stiffeners. Side sealed and banded with mesh tape, outer edges sealed and protected with gaffer tape. Gaffer tape sealed down with coloured packing tape (make identification easier at the post office!) then the whole things banded with “Fragile” tape.

Four 45’s: An item of serious beauty! Mini, boxed-edge, cruciform record mailer with four/five mini-stiffeners. Side sealed and banded with mesh tape, outer edges sealed and protected with gaffer tape. Gaffer tape sealed down with coloured packing tape (make identification easier at the post office!) then the whole things banded with “Fragile” tape.

Five 45’s: “Le Mutts Cahones!” Mini, boxed-edge, cruciform record mailer with six/seven mini-stiffeners. Side sealed and banded with mesh tape, outer edges sealed and protected with gaffer tape. Gaffer tape sealed down with coloured packing tape (make identification easier at the post office!) then the whole things banded with “Fragile” tape.

P&P Prices:

Solo 7”: UK = £1.50, Europe = £2.50, Rest of World = £3.50

For additional 7’s, please add the following cost per disc, up to a maximum of 6 singles per package.

Please note: I always try to post as quickly as possible after you’ve paid, but I no longer have the luxury of both living and working next door to a post office and having a job that allowed me to take the office phone with me when I was dispatching your lovelies! Therefore, it’s going to be the Saturday morning after you’ve paid that I load all my packages in to the jeep and head out in to the wilds to the nearest post office! We are talking deep, deep, DEEP in the countryside now! These costs are for the standard GB postage rate and at least 50p worth of packaging materials!

Registration and Insurance of Packages

All invoices will automatically offer the option of registration, providing both a tracking number and up to £30.00 compensation. These fees, on packages valued less than £30, are optional, but are offered on all sales invoices as standard, it is your choice as to whether or not to take up this additional cover.

“Signed For Service” UK = £1.00 per package. Europe & Rest of The World = £3.50 per package.

All packages with a content value greater than £30.00 will be dispatched via “Signed for Service” for FREE. This only provides cover up to £30, if you would like additional cover, please request it!

Payment Methods:

PayPal is now the ONLY method of choice for either UK or overseas buyers.

Problems, Refunds & The “Boink” Factor:

·         If the item you win differs from the description above, I will refund your original payment.

·         Refund will be issued on receipt of item in original packaging in the same condition as when dispatched.

·         Proof of dispatch certification is obtained for every package.

·         I take GREAT care with packaging and have only ever had 3 arrive damaged out of over 2500!

Whilst this may all appear slightly excessive on the detail front, I do go to great lengths to ensure the accuracy of these listings and promote “service” and “honesty” as treasured commodities as, on rare occasion, I have found them to be lacking in (one or two) others with whom I have dealt on e-bay… however, NOT here! I feel I should also add that I have been professionally involved in either the music or entertainment industry for the last 20 years and as a fan of all genres of “quality” music since year “dot”…  To verify all this manic attention to detail  please do check my feedback, which I go to great lengths to keep positive and my buyers are both cool and kind enough to leave.
