THIS is a Rare 1958 First Pressing MONO LP by Rockabilly Legend BUDDY HOLLY  ~  " THAT'LL BE THE DAY" , on the DECCA (Black w Silver Print, Deep Groove) Label  # DL 8707, Original DECCA Sleeve.

The Goldmine American Records Guide values a Near Mint copy of this record at $1500.

Matrix Numbers  MG6148T2    1P  and  MG6149T2    1P are Stamped in dead wax.

                                                                      Condition Details:

Vinyl:  NO SKIPPING , POPS , WRITING , STICKERS , RING WEAR.

Very mild surface noise.     

Numerous light superficial hairline scratches and nicks, a few light scuffs and one 1 1/2" stylus scratch across Tracks 3, 4 & 5 on Side 2 which can be felt with fingernail and causes several mild ticks on these tracks..   Light groove wear is visible.   A tiny bit of wear at center hole on labels.

Overall, a few mild ticks here and there.    A couple of light spindle trails on labels.    A very slight warp which doesn't affect play.

Jacket:   NO WRITING , STICKERS , RING WEAR.

Light shelf wear.   Top seam was totally split, I repaired it to prevent further damage to cover.   Most of the print on top seam is worn and/or chipped off.   About 90% of the print on spine is intact and legible.   Bottom seam has only a little minor wear.   A couple of bend marks under 2" along spine.   A couple of corners slightly blunted.
