Label:   VERVE.  Monaural pressing on medium thick vinyl.  Label is flat black with silver text.  DSM trumpet player logo, with deep groove.  Catalog number is MG V-8301.   

Year:  1958.  (session dates 13 Jan ’55, and 27 Apr ’55).

Note:  This album comes from an extremely well cared-for jazz collection where the original owner cherished his albums, played them once or twice at most, and stored them under optimal conditions.  There will be some nice opportunities for the collector who insists on mint condition.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is gorgeous NEAR MINT, as clean as can be found.  The playing surface is immaculate, with a high luster, perhaps played once.  Plays flawlessly with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean and pristine. 

JACKET:   VG+.  Some obvious signs of shelf wear and handling.  Bottom seam has wear and several small scrapes at the two corner areas.  Top seam also has some minor wear and one small scrape.  Front art work is clean, reverse has darkened a bit with age and there is a small light rectangular stain from where a small sticker was removed.  Not perfect, but quite presentable given the gorgeous condition of the vinyl.  No writing, cutout indications, or other problems.
