Bruce Springsteen: “Fire on the Fingertips”
This is the first pressing of this LP (from the UK) as documented by it being made on blue vinyl. This LP contains five tracks from 1972-1973, none of which turned up on any of Springsteen’s regular albums. "Bishop Dance," broadcast on the King Biscuit Flower Hour radio show, is a live recording (probably made on August 30, 1972, at Max's Kansas City in New York), featuring acoustic guitar and accordion, in a style similar to "Wild Billy's Circus Story." "Santa Ana," "Seaside Bar Song," and "Zero and Blind Terry" are studio outtakes from the sessions for The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle. They were left off the album, but they provide insight into this album and are therefore worth hearing. "Thundercrack," recorded live, is one of Sringsteen’s extended jazzy suites and is also is illuminating. Sound quality is good or better.
This album comes from my personal collection and was acquired by me in the late 70's for the collectability, scarcity and unique artwork. It has been stored indoors, upright in dry, smoke free homes, in a protective plastic sleeve, since purchase. The album will be mailed in a made-for-LP rigid cardboard carton with proper sized cardboard pads and additional protective material to prevent damage while in transit.
