on the TAS Audiophile list- Audibly Suberb!
I have acquired a large classical collection of wonderful recordings from a very keen and dedicated collector.
They are all mostly from the late 50s to mid 60s - Something of a Golden Age in Classical recordingAll records are inspected very carefully and
Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.
I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws

First Edition pressing on ARGO from 1961
unfortunately
the Libretto is missing from this copy
Disc is visually Excellent with some very faint surface hairline marks and audibly there are some occasional very faint ‘tics' -
More specifically on side two there is a faint 'pop' midway for about 25 secs or so
Sleeve is Excellent with the original Argo inner sleeve
This is of course over 50 years old now and is surprisingly good shape for its vintage
An elaborate ,ambitious and hugely rewarding work from Benjamin Britten written in 1957
Astonishing recording considering the logistics of recording The main cast ,The English Chamber Orchestra,a massive chorus of animals sung by children and an East Suffolk Children’s Orchestra all in a rural church in 1961
(50 years ago now) rightly on the TAS (Harry Pearson recommended audiophile list).
You will be pleased to learn there is no reserve and a low starting price
