Description

BRIDGET  ST  JOHN   "  SONGS  FOR  THE  GENTLE  MAN "   VERY RARE ALBUM

Released in 1971 on  "DANDELION  DAN"   8007 stereo

Condition :   EXCELLENT / NEAR MINT

I bought this Album the week it was released from my local record shop.  It has been played
on a high quality record deck (Thorens 125 turntable SME arm with Shure V15 cartridge.)
It has always been cleaned with a high quality record cleaner and stored in a plastic outer
                          sleeve for protection.

                                                                         SIDE 1.  Matrix no.  DAN  8007  A1
                                                                          track 1.  A Day a Way.
                                                                                   2.  City - Crazy.
                                                                                   3.  Early Morning Song.
                                                                                   4.  Back to Stay.
                                                                                   5.  Seagull - Sunday.
                                                                                   6.  If You'd Been There.

                                                                         SIDE  2.  Matrix no.  DAN  8007  B1
track  1.  Song For The Laird of Connaught Hall - part 2.
                                                                                    2.  Making Losing Better.
                                                                                    3.  The Lady and The Gentle Man.
                                                                                    4.  Downderry Daze.
                                                                                    5.  The Pebble and The Man.
                                                                                    6.  It Seems Very Strange.

                                                                                   THE  COVER

The COVER is in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition.  The whole Album is in a Leather
TEXTURED SEMI SHEEN finish.  The FRONT COVER of the GATEFOLD is BEAUTIFULLY
CLEAN free from any marks except one tiny thin dent about 2cms from the spine.  The BACK
COVER is free from any marks whatsoever.  Inside the GATEFOLD it is as NEW.  The SPINE
is VERY CLEAR and STRAIGHT with only a couple of little scuff marks at the top of the spine.
All the CORNERS and FIRM and TRUE with only extremely light scuff marks in the bottom right
hand corner, and one light scuff mark top right.  The SLEEVE OPENING is STRAIGHT with one
slight scuff on the front of the opening, barely noticeable.  For an Album Cover that is 38 years
                         old it is SUPERB.

                                                                                 THE  VINYL

The VINYL is in EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT condition.  This Album, on the late JOHN PEEL"S
DANDELION LABEL has become VERY RARE indeed.  The VINYL is VERY CLEAN in a HIGH
GLOSS finish.  The LABELS are as NEW, there are no SPINDLE marks.  The SOUND QUALITY
is SUPERB, it PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY throughout, with no pops or crackles.  This ALBUM has not
been played in the last 36 years.  I test played it on my REGA PLANAR 3 turntable and it still sounds
AMAZING.  It has only been played four or five times since new.  This is becoming a very collectable
                        Album on the DANDELION LABEL.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me.

                                                                                PEDRO'S  VINYL

I have been collection LPs since 1964 and have amassed a fantastic collection of rare Albums.
I recently made the traumatic decision to sell of my collection to finance other ventures. I have
always been obsessive about playing my LPs on the best possible audio equipment for that era.
The Albums have always been stored in a specially built LP unit to keep them free from dust
and heat.  Thank you for looking, and good luck with your bidding, PEDRO.
