Description
The E.J. Day gatefold sleeve is in strong solid shape with no rips, cuts or sticker tears. There is rubbing on the spine and some edges along with a few corner creases plus ringwear on the back half of the sleeve. On the inside of the sleeve is affixed a name and number with the same number again on the back. So overall for condition I rate the sleeve 7.5 out of 10 for condition.
Both labels show signs of a handful of plays on a turntable as witnessed by the spindle 'snail' tracks. The centre holes are tight as shown. On Side 1 there is a written name.
The poly-lined inner sleeve has a date code of 0572 so is a May 1972 original issue. It's in good order with expected age browning and creasing.
For the record itself it's of medium weight, flat and shiny. In room daylight at the window it looks great. Under the evil and cruel desk lamp I see some scuffs and light hairlines. As ever these are a result of the vinyl living in the sleeve for the past 47 years and not necessarily down to poor handling. Anyway, I give the record 8/10 for condition.
