Description

FOR THIS AUCTION: BOY SETS FIRE / Jazz Man's Needle "This Crying, This Screaming, My Voice is Being Born." 12" Vinyl Record Silk Screened Cover, Hand Stamped Label. Sleeve is made from an inside out sleeve of another album, very diy special edition!
CONDITION: Great condition. Light surface wear on sleeve, sleeve seams have come unglued. Vinyl looks great! VG++

Boysetsfire released its first demo albums in late 1994 and early 1995. In 1996 the band released its first EP, This Crying, This Screaming, My Voice Is Being Born. It has released records through Magic Bullet, Conquer the World, Deathwish Inc, Initial, Hydra Head, Victory, Wind-Up, Equal Vision and Burning Heart. They have released split EPs with Coalesce, Shai Hulud, and Snapcase.

The hardcore, then later post-hardcore, band boysetsfire was founded 1994 in Delaware/USA. One of the main reasons was ‘To shake things and change’, which basically meant to mosh like lunatics through the rehearsal room. But soon the wish for a change manifests in more and more politically inspired lyrics. Only about a month after their first rehearsal, they played their first gig for friends. This opened the doors for some local club gigs in Newark, and the first demo was recorded shortly after.

SHIPPING: This record will be shipped via USPS in a sturdy cardboard mailer. Delivery Confirmation can be added upon request.

Our vinyl is sold to you in the condition it arrived, and we display it without manhandling it.  We are collectors, every one of us working here, and we want you to get your collectibles in the best condition possible, therefore WE NEVER REMOVE VINYL FROM ITS SLEEVE AND LEAN IT AGAINST ANYTHING nor do we REMOVE THE VINYL RECORDS FROM THEIR SLEEVES & LAY THEM DOWN ON A SURFACE TO DISPLAY THEM.

Many sellers seem to have a disregard for the items they're selling and only care about making their pictures look pretty.  We only care about the pieces we sell.  And you.  So you'll see that the records are displayed IN THEIR ORIGINAL SLEEVES, with just a hint of the vinyl showing so that you can see what color they are.  If you want to see the vinyl pulled from its sleeve and resting on a dusty surface, look at someone else's auction or blog and then come back to our page and buy a copy in PERFECT SHAPE.

See the photo(s).  Sorry about my hand in the shots, (if it is), but I try to NEVER LAY THE VINYL DOWN ON ANYTHING, unlike lots of sellers, who FREAKIN' lay records down on tables and things to photograph them!  We give them all the very clean hand or WHITE GLOVE TREATMENT, as you see in the photos, and take the pics with someone holding the vinyl in the air, never touching it, pulling it carefully from its sleeve.  Whatever we sell you is going to be in the best shape possible. We're all collectors and know that other collectors appreciate the extra mile.

This is a vinyl record, NOT A CD.  You play it on a turntable.  That's an arcane device that spins plastic around and around at a constant speed and a diamond on the end of a stick scrapes at it and makes noise that you hopefully enjoy.

If you buy up to two items, the postage stays the same. Over that, we tack on a dollar for each item.  Unless we're feeling rich on that particular day.

We will ship this ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

ORDERS OVERSEAS, ESPECIALLY TO EUROPE (AND ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY GERMANY) ARE SOMETIMES TAKING A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME.  SOME VINYL IS TAKING UP TO A MONTH TO ARRIVE.  IF YOU CAN TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT AS A POSSIBILITY, GO AHEAD AND BID.  IF, ON THE OTHER HAND, YOU ARE IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND ARE NOT PREPARED TO WAIT FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, PLEASE DO NOT BID. And I don't mean that in an angry way, I mean it in a "we keep getting people in Germany and other countries overseas sending us angry letters 2 weeks after the auction ends, or starting a dispute over a record that is simply slow in reaching them because of the international overseas mail service.  So what I'm saying is this: if you're not feeling patient, please don't take it out on us if the record doesn't arrive quickly. We'll gladly take out insurance, or give you a tracking number, or whatever you want if you feel like paying extra to ensure that your record doesn't get lost. But if you just pay the basic postage and your record doesn't get there for 4 weeks, don't shoot the messenger.
