Description

BONJOUR AVIATORS – The Fury In Your Eyes b/w Boston City Limits. Romantic Records RR 333. Issued in 1976. 

 From Boston, the band formed prior the punk/new wave movement and actually traveled to New York City for their early gigs at CBGB’s and Max’s prior to The Rat opening its doors to bands that played original material and the “new” sound. Bonjour Aviators were one of the regular opening bands in support of many of the NYC bands that first came up to Boston to play The Rat. The band originally consisted of Kim Preston/guitar and keyboards, John Shriver/bass guitar, Kevin Graves/drums, and Fred Pineau/guitar and vocals. The band reformed just prior to cutting this single, minus Kim Preston, with second guitarist Craig Covner and the late Randall, later of Baby's Arm, on vocals. Classic Proto-Punk, good stuff! Fred Pineau, who wrote both tracks on this single, later played with Boston’s Atlantics.
