Description

This was the very first record to come out of the Austin punk scene. Formed as a 60s garage cover band at the end of ‘77, members of the Bodysnatchers saw the Sex Pistols play in San Antonio on January 8th, 1978 and quickly adapted the punk aesthetic into what they were doing. They lost to the Nervebreakers in a battle of the bands competition in April 1978 which led them to writing the brutal attack song, “Battle of the Bands.” “Are You Into Destruction” was comped on Bloodstains Across Texas but the whole record is solid. Hear clips below. Record is unplayed but the thin paper sleeve shows typical storage wear and ringing in the back.

All records will be cleaned on a VPI HW-16.5 prior to shipping.

Postage within the US will be a flat rate of $4 for as many records as you purchase. International will be according to weight and location but likely around $12 for the first item and $2-3 more for each additional record. Insurance will be required on US orders over $100. International purchases over $100 and anything going to Italy will require registered mail at buyer’s expense.

Payment due within three days of auction’s end. All records will be packaged securely in brand new cardboard mailers with records separated from the sleeves.
