OK - BACK TO SOME GOOD COLLECTABLE 45s OF VARIOUS MUSICAL STYLES FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1966 U.S. CAMEO RECORDS PROMO 45 RPM RECORD containing the songs 'Night Owl'/'Tears On My Pillow' from Bobby Paris. It is Cameo Records catalog number C-396, and is a GUARANTEED 1966 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! This is a promo DJ copy with an inscription to that effect on the labels, there is one other inscription to that effect on the labels which does not appear in my accompanying image. 'Night Owl' is of course the storming energetic 'Northern' favorite remake of the Tony Allen tune; 'Tears On My Pillow is an updated and slightly more uptempo take on the Little Anthony classic. Condition of record is a mid to high VG+ with a small to moderate amount of light surface marks which mostly show up only under strong light, cannot be felt, and do not affect play. 'Night Owl' label is in good shape; 'Tears On My Pillow' label has an 'x' in black marker and a rectangular area on its left side where a label has been successfully removed, leaving a slightly raised and discolored area and a small worn spot. This promo 45 would be a prime rare addition to any 'Northern' soul 45 record collection!
