Bobby Mickleburgh & His Bobcats At Bond Street (10" LP)

Bobby Mickleburgh (The General) was a trumpet player, trombone player, tuba player and bandleader. He was born in Bath and has been working in British jazz since the 1940s with The Temperance Seven, The Bobcats and Humphrey Lyttleton. He was an old school British jazz great who represented the UK in the very first Nice International Jazz festival after World War II. Louis Armstrong played with him in London in 1961 – with Dill Jones on piano – you don’t get much more hip when mentioning a British jazz artist (i.e. when Louis turned to the other band members and stating to them: ‘He sounds just like my boy Jack‘ (Louis referring to Jack Teagarden the world’s greatest trombone player and a member of Louis’ Allstars)

The album is on Oriole Records, MG.10013. Matrix side one: MG 10013 A2   1V (stamped). Matrix side two: MG 10013 B2   1V (stamped).
Released in 1956. UK pressing. Mono.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few light marks and plays the odd light pop/click here and there but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or sticks, may benefit from a prefessional clean).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few light marks and plays the odd light pop/click here and there but certainly nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, plays with no jumps or sticks, may benefit from a prefessional clean).
Cover (fully laminated, flip-back): very good (some laminate creases here and there, abit of laminate lift at opening edge, the off small mark here and there).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
