After Pete best had left the Beatles, Brian Epstein found a replacement named Bobbie Graham. Graham however declined the offer as the Beatles did not seem to be headed in the direction of a promising career. Instead, Graham continued his gig as a drummer for Joe Brown, and Ringo Starr became the final Beatle. Despite not becoming one of The Beatles, Graham found success as a session drummer. He appeared on over 15,000 songs and worked with a never ending list of stars. In 1965 he released a solo single on the Fontana label. "Skin Deep" showcases his raw talent as a drummer. The track brings a soulful rock approach to the instrumental and can easily fall into several genres: Funk, Soul, Rock, Surf, Garage - take your pick. The flip again ties elements from different genres and call fall into the same categories: Funk, Soul, Rock, Surf, Garage. Both tracks are very universal in their cross genre appeal. "Zoom, Wedge And Wag" also features Jimmy Page. The future Led Zepppelin guitarist was at that time a session musician recording tracks for top acts like Brenda Lee, The Rolling Stones and Petula Clark among others. Both Graham and Page are credited for writing "Zoom, Widge And Wag." While the single doesn't list Page as a featured artist on the track (other than writing credits), his distinctive guitar playing can be heard through the song. In addition to being a great sounding record, the history of the men behind it is very interesting: An almost member of the Beatles performing with a future member of Led Zeppelin.
The label has typical label wear on either side, with it heavier on the B side. There are no stickers on the label There is writing on the label. The A side has "Good Drums R.J.S." written in ink on the right side. The B side has "very good drums" written on the right side. The vinyl has typical wear on either side. All records come with basic sleeves unless a factory or picture sleeve is indicated in the description. I do not use a grading system as I feel that everyone interprets it differently. For example, I see many records listed as being Near Mint, yet the label is torn or has writing on it. To me that is not near mint. I prefer to describe the record as best I can, post photos, and allow viewers to listen to the actual record as to determine for themselves how the record should be graded.
I ship using Media Mail at $3.00 and deliver the day of or after the payment is received. Please remember that shipping costs also include the cost of materials to ship the order. International shipping is available. The cost to ship this Internationally is $14.00. I will also combine shipping. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible, however recent increases by USPS have affected what I charge to ship - and believe me, I am NOT happy about it.
I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
